What We Do

Innovation and prototyping services - Fast, focused experiments that produce real answers.

Every prototyping engagement is time-boxed, outcome-defined, and designed to produce a clear go or no-go decision.

Rapid POC and MVP development for new products and internal tools

Working prototypes built in weeks, not quarters, using the right stack for the hypothesis being tested rather than the most familiar one.

AI, IoT, and robotics concept validation

Structured experiments that test the core technical assumption of an emerging technology initiative before committing engineering resources to a full build.

Technical spikes and feasibility studies

Targeted investigations into specific technical questions that are blocking a decision: "can we integrate with this system?", "will this perform at our scale?", "is this the right architectural approach?"

UX prototypes and clickable demos for stakeholder buy in

High-fidelity interactive prototypes designed for stakeholder and board presentations.

Technology Domains

The technology domains we prototype in.

Innovation prototyping requires specialised knowledge in the specific technology being tested. These are the areas where Omnie's engineers have hands-on prototyping experience.

AI & Generative AI

LLM integration, Agentic AI workflows, RAG architectures, AI-powered automation, and intelligent recommendation systems — prototyped against real business data to validate actual performance, not benchmark results.

OpenAI / Azure AI | LangChain | RAG | Agentic AI

IoT & Connected Systems

End-to-end IoT prototypes connecting physical devices to cloud platforms — from sensor data ingestion and real-time processing to dashboards and alerting systems for manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics use cases.

Azure IoT Hub | MQTT | Edge computing | Time-series data

Robotics & Automation

Software prototypes for robotic process integration, autonomous systems, and intelligent automation workflows — validating the control logic, integration layer, and decision-making architecture before hardware investment.

RPA | Computer vision | Process automation | Control systems

New Product & Platform Concepts

End-to-end product prototypes — from validated concept through clickable UX prototype to working technical MVP — for new digital products, business model pivots, and platform extensions entering unfamiliar markets.

Product strategy | UX / UI | Full-stack MVP | Market validation

Data & Analytics Platforms

Proof-of-concept data pipelines, analytics dashboards, and AI-assisted insight platforms — validating data quality, processing architecture, and visualisation approach before committing to a full data platform build.

Azure Data Factory | Power BI | Python / Spark | Real-time analytics

Wearables & Emerging Interfaces

Feasibility studies and early prototypes for wearable technology, AR/VR interfaces, and next-generation user interaction models — for enterprises exploring the frontier of how their teams and customers will interact with technology.

AR / VR | Wearable SDK | Voice interfaces | Spatial computing

How We Work

From hypothesis to validated answer - in weeks, not quarters.

Concept & Success Criteria

Define the problem, target user or use case, and most importantly, what success looks like. You receive: defined hypothesis + agreed success criteria

Prototype Plan

Choose the smallest thing we can build to prove or disprove assumptions. You receive: Scoped prototype plan + technology recommendation

Build & Test

Build the prototype, test with real users or data, and collect feedback. You receive: Working prototype + test results and observations

Decide & Next Steps

Decide whether to scale, iterate, or park the idea. You receive: decision brief + path-forward recommendation

Business Outcomes

What a well-run prototyping engagement delivers..

The output of a prototyping engagement is never just a prototype. It is a business decision, made with evidence rather than assumption.

Validated technology decisions

A clear, evidence-based answer to the technology question.

Board-level buy-in

A working demo or validated prototype that communicates technology potential more persuasively than any slide deck.

Reduced investment risk

Failed assumptions discovered in a 6-week POC cost a fraction of the same discovery made 12 months into a full-scale build.

Accelerated time-to-market

Validated prototypes inform production architecture which means the full build begins with proven foundations, not revised assumptions.

True Partnership

Omnie engineers work alongside your team during the prototype.

Clear path to production

For successful prototypes, Omnie provides a production path into full engineering delivery — using the same team, without an onboarding restart.

Why Omnie For Innovation

Why teams prototype with us

We have built our own products from prototype to production.

We know what a good prototype looks like because we've been through the full journey ourselves.

Structured experiments, not open-ended exploration.

Every engagement is time-boxed, hypothesis-defined, and designed to produce a go or no-go decision. We constrain scope actively because scope creep is how innovation programmes consume budget and time.

Engineers experienced in emerging technology domains.

AI, IoT, robotics, and wearables require specialised knowledge that most enterprise engineering teams don't keep on staff. Our engineers have hands-on prototyping experience in these domains.

A direct path from prototype to production — with the same team.

When a prototype validates, you don't start over with a new vendor. Omnie's full engineering capability is immediately available to scale the validated concept into a production system — with no knowledge transfer, no onboarding restart, and no loss of institutional context.

FAQ

Prototyping & innovation- frequently asked questions.

A POC (proof of concept) tests a single critical assumption — usually technical feasibility or core user behaviour — with the minimum build required to generate a clear answer. An MVP (minimum viable product) is a deployable product with enough features for early adopters.
A prototype that disproves a hypothesis is a success, not a failure. Learning an approach that won't work in a 6-week POC is far better than finding out after a year-long build. We share results, explain the data, and guide investment toward better options. Invalidation is valued as a valid outcome.
Significantly faster than a full engineering project. Once we've aligned on the hypothesis and success criteria, which we can do in a single working session; we can typically have a prototype plan and team assembled within one week. The prototype itself is usually complete within 4–8 weeks depending on complexity.
Yes. All code, designs, and technical artefacts produced during the engagement are your intellectual property. Omnie retains no licensing rights or ongoing claims to the prototype or any production system built from it.
